Twins turn ONE!

The twins first birthday was on the third. We started celebrations the day before by going bowling and out to eat for some pizza since Keith had the day off. On the third I surprised the twins with balloons in the crib. The three of us hung out all day till the boys got home then we had dinner and a #1 smash cake for the twins followed by presents.

Reflecting on this past year I'd say it's been wild but so rewarding and fun. I couldn't have done it without all of Keith's help and the help I had from friends in Casper. It's been so neat to watch the twins play together, babble back and forth and see who would crawl, sit up, roll over, get teeth etc., first (which by the way with all of those it's been Ayla, and she's closer to walking than Cole). For the most part the sleepless nights are over, these two (esp. Ayla) sleep pretty well at night now. Guys, it's so bittersweet to watch them grow up, they're so cute as little babies but now they're getting bigger and heading into the toddler years, which can be fun, but I know I will miss the baby stage for sure. I still can't believe it's been a year. I still remember writing my birth story post on here, that doesn't feel like a year ago. But here are some pics of their big day!

Well I'm at it I'll throw in some pictures from yesterday. I've been itching to do some fall activities, so we headed to Idaho Falls and spent some time at the pumpkin patch. Carson had a ball in the corn pit, on the train, straw maze, pedal tractors and going down the slides. Afterwards Keith and I got to go on a date/early birthday celebration for me-- we went to the movies and saw "The Mountain Between Us" and out to dinner at Famous Dave's.

Riding the train, it was a very windy day.

Pretty sure fall is the best/prettiest season!

yup.

  1. So fun! Can't believe they are one! I finished reading The Mountain Between Us (even though I didn't read it as fast as Cita did haha). I want to see the movie, but the trailer already looks WAYYY different than the book. I liked the book, I hope I like the movie! Did you like it? is Cita gonna see the movie too? :)
