Seven guys! Seven!

2007-2014

I'm still in awe every year when December 28th rolls around and we add another year to our marriage. This year it's seven. SEVEN. Please tell me when this happened?! It feels more like three, but then again it feels like we've always known each other and been married---weird. Anyway... in seven years we've

1. Both graduated from BYU-Idaho
2. Lived in Rexburg, ID (2007-2011),
                  Boise, ID (2011-2014)
                  Casper, WY (2014-Present)
3. Moved six different times within Rexburg and Boise combined
4. Had one little man
5. Had nine different jobs (between the two of us)
6. Visited 17 states
7. Owned two cars

And created seven years of memories together....

I wouldn't want anyone else by my side.....Happy Seventh Anniversary Love.

Christmas Week!

This past Christmas week was so fun and magical, especially having a child to enjoy the special day with.

Tuesday the 23rd Carson went to his buddy Emmett's 5th birthday. It was a police officer themed birthday and Carson is still talking about catching the bad guy, putting him in jail and finding the gold he hid!! He had so much fun and the food was so yummy! We sure love our good friends the Curry's, Casper definitely wouldn't be the same without them.

The gold!

Happy Birthday Emmett!

Playing around with toys in the goody bag

Wednesday--Christmas Eve, we went to work with daddy for a little bit, and did some last minute shopping and preparations for Christmas. We had the yummiest dinner---Philly Cheesesteaks! We ended the night with Home Alone, Holiday Switch, singing Christmas carols and reading about Christ's birth.

Christmas Eve---Just the three of us
Christmas morning we woke up to this.....

Yes!! I got my White Christmas!! It snowed all day and into the night on Christmas! I was soooo happpy!!
After opening stockings we had strawberry and raspberry crepes with orange juice and bacon for breakfast!

Then it was present time!!! This is one of my favorite presents from Keith. He also got me a sapphire ring, perfume, slippers, toasty gloves, amazon gift card, a new wallet, and two movies.

Keith's brother and sis-in-law got us the picture of Christ. I am so excited to hang these two together!!

Carson's "big" present! A marble run!

Carson's loot---Crazy Sand, Marble Run, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, a Fishing Pole, and Lego Movie. (Lots of games for this boy, he loves games!!)

I got this picture text from Misti on Christmas---"Mom's new ride." My parents are just the cutest!

Playin' all of Carson's new games!
After opening presents we got ready and headed to a sweet hill in Casper with some friends from our ward and went sledding!!

Keith was unfortunately on call this week and had an emergency at a site so we had fun driving in a blizzard for six hours to go to the site and back (normally three hours), so we didn't get to have our Christmas dinner that night, but it was still fun taking a trip together in the snow. Oh I just love snow on Christmas!!! So we had our dinner Friday night (last night) and had the Currys over.
This is what my car looked like Christmas night. YES!!!!

Today (Saturday the 27th), we all went out as a family for an early anniversary celebration to  breakfast at our FAVORITE place here in Casper, only the best---Eggingtons.

Love these two of mine.

Pecan french toast---I literally died and went to heaven!! SOOOO good!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year!!

Christmas Spirit

We've been getting into the Christmas spirit these past couple of weeks and I love it! I've had Johnny Mathis and Andy Williams Christmas songs on repeat, my two favorite Christmas albums. All the gifts are bought and wrapped (hello online shopping). Love this time of year!

We went and cut down our Christmas tree in the mountains...our new tradition!

Keith found the perfect tree (and no he does not have a black eye, my phone did that for some reason)

Our first family tree :) Hard to see but there's also silver and creme ornaments on the tree with the blue. (We've never set up a tree before this year because we've always gone to New Jersey or Boise to be with our families for Christmas, but this year it's just us three)

Decorating the townhouse....
Going shopping for Christmas decorations

Carson's own little tree

Carson decorated his try by himself

Babysitting these two cuties and making a gingerbread house

Making homemade fudge, toffee and sugar cookies

Don't have a picture but it snowed a ton last Sunday and Monday. Hoping for a white Christmas so it actually feels like Christmas and we can go sledding like old times.

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Hello December!

Hello December! Where did November go? Maybe it went by so quick because half of it we spent in New Jersey for the Thanksgiving holiday. November 15th Carson and I headed out to NJ to spend some time with the Penrods (Keith had to work so he came later on the 25th). Our days were filled with lots of Grandma/Grandpa and cousin time! Carson just loves his cousin Tennyson and they had so much fun together.

The first week we went to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. This was definitely one of my favorite museums. It reminded me of the Discovery Center in Boise but A LOT BIGGER!! We had so much fun exploring this awesome science museum! Afterwards we walked across the street to see the progress on the Philadelphia Temple!

You get to walk inside this huge heart and see what the inside of a heart looks like! So fun!
Weather Woman---My new job!
Lego Man!
Riding the waves

At the end of that week we celebrate Tennyson's 8th birthday. The next day he was also baptized, I don't have any pictures from the baptism though.
Love this picture, it captures these two perfectly. Out to dinner at Applebees for Tennyson's birthday.

Playing with Tenny's birthday presents.

The next week was Thanksgiving and that means Keith would be there! He arrived Tuesday night before Thanksgiving.

I wanted a family picture on Thanksgiving and this is what Keith gave me.

The spread.

My pumpkin roll isn't pictured but it was delish!

All of us girls hit Black Friday (which is now Black Thursday) that evening and scored some sweet stuff! The next day we all went to Smithville (Catherine had to work...sad) a cute little village with lots of shops and places to eat all decorated for Christmas.

Riding the Train.

Afterwards Carson was sad because he didn't get to see Zombie Santa.

Eating out at Vesuvios afterwards. Yummy Italian food!
Saturday we all headed to Atlantic City for some boardwalk fun!
Grandma and her grandsons

Chilling with Keith's sisters.... waiting for the light show in the Tropicana.

The beach right off the boardwalk.

Playing in the indoor sand

Following that weekend on Monday we headed to the Cape May Zoo and Cape May Beach to see the lighthouse.

Carson took this picture, not bad!

Our favorite free Zoo! This was seriously the  most gorgeous day for December 1st! High 60s!

Eye of the Tiger!

Cape May Beach. There was a huge bunker used in WWII on the beach. It was pretty neat to see it still standing.

Salty kisses
Cape May Lighthouse.

We had such a fun trip to NJ. We always enjoy family time. Now for the Christmas festivities!!
