Christmas 2015

We're back from our 10 day Christmas vacation with family and trying to catch up on sleep and eat less sweets. We headed to Utah the Friday before Christmas to spend a few days there with Keith's parents and sister. Yes, I got to eat In-and-Out, we went to Temple Square to see the lights, out to dinner with Keith's extended family, and made gingerbread houses with the family.

On Monday the 21st we all headed up to Rexburg to spend the rest of the vacation until Sunday with all of Keith's siblings and parents. We decided to have it in Rexburg this year because Keith's brother's wife just had a baby in November and they didn't want to travel. So we packed all 15 of us in a house in Sugar City right outside of Rexburg to enjoy the holiday. We spent the week-- shopping, baking sweets, cooking, playing games, playing in the snow, sledding, watching movies, and doing all our traditional activities on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. We had quite the time and enjoyed all the snow we got all week, it was especially nice getting snow all day Christmas Eve. The day after Christmas we threw Catherine (Keith's sister) a baby shower since she is expecting her first child in May. Sunday we took family pictures then had to make the 6 1/2 hour drive home to Wyoming. It was definitely a memorable Christmas for sure!

My pictures aren't the best since they're just from my phone..

Yesterday, the 28th was our 8th anniversary. We decided to keep it low key because Keith is getting sick and we were still unwinding and tired from our vacation. Keith had to work most of the day but that evening we went to dinner at Firerock steakhouse while my friend watched Carson.

Holiday Snapshots

Since I never posted much about November or Thanksgiving I'll throw some November pics in here along with December so far.

November came and went! Keith's sister and husband visited us for five days on their way to Utah, Carson had some fun pre-school activities including a Thanksgiving feast, I went to the new Hunger Games movie with 49 other girls from my stake (we got our own theater), we got a snowstorm on Thanksgiving and went sledding the next day with friends, attended Casper's Christmas parade on the 28th, watched a TON of Christmas movies, welcomed a new nephew on Keith's side, and my parents got their mission call to Lansing, Michigan!!

Mom and Dad opening their call. They leave 3 days after Christmas!

I snapped this on our way out of the theater from seeing The Good Dinosaur, we still need to see The Peanuts Movie.

Casper Christmas Parade

December has been a blast so far.....we decorated our tree, Carson has done so many Christmas crafts and activities at pre-school, we had a Christmas party with friends and also attended our Ward Christmas party where Carson got to see Santa!

After we decorated the tree

I had to include this because I thought it was so momentous---Carson ate a whole 6 inch sandwich at Subway, he eats as much as me! Man, he is growing!

Christmas party with Athena and friends--Athena went all out with a pinata, snowflake craft, treasure hunt, prizes, pizza, cookie making and decorating, grinch popcorn and watching The Grinch. We had so much fun. I think we need to make this an annual thing Athena!!

This is my house today. Schools are cancelled so we're staying in and watching Christmas movies!! Hoping for good weather and roads though since we're planning on traveling to see my family and Keith's family (all meeting up in Rexburg) for Christmas. Can't wait for the rest of December---Christmas festivities, our 8th Anniversary, and New Years Eve!!!
