Gender Reveal and Keith's Birthday!

Yesterday was Keith's birthday and the same day of our gender reveal. I spent the morning making strawberry cheesecake stuffed french toast (one of my favs) for breakfast, I think I'll make it a breakfast birthday tradition. After cleaning up and getting ready for the day, the three of us headed to my ultrasound.

I got to have a special ultrasound with a tech that came up from Denver, I guess everyone here with twins has to have one with a specialist from Denver. The ultrasound was about an hour long and we got to see both little babies! We had her write down the genders in an envelope so it was still a secret.

Afterwards Keith had to go pick up a co-worker from the airport and they went out to lunch while I took Carson to go play at his friend Carter's house while his mom Whitney made my gender reveal cake. She was so sweet to offer and was so excited about it. I hung out at home and waited for Keith to get home and then went and got Carson, we were going to go miniature golfing but Keith was wanting to just hang out at home, so I went and grabbed some pizzas and we had pizza and root beer for dinner.

We were getting so anxious by this point we headed over to Whitney's to pick up the cake and then headed home to cut it! We sang to Keith and of course he then cut open the cake! I was surprised, as you can tell in the video, but Keith had guessed a boy and a girl. The interesting thing was all day yesterday before and after my appointment I had this continual thought in my head saying "it's a boy and a girl, it's a boy and a girl," but I kept pushing it out because I really thought it was two girls, but the thought was there all day and I even told Keith about it before we cut the cake, and sure enough, it was a BOY and a GIRL!

We texted, called and skyped our families the rest of the night to let them know the good news and then ended the evening with our favorite movie-- Zookeeper. It was such an amazing day! Still kinda surreal there's twins in me! I think we'll go miniature golfing today. :)

19 1/2 weeks! Babies are the size of mangos

Let's cut this open!
