One year older.....

So yesterday was the big 25! Yikes! I used to get so excited for my birthday growing up and would look forward to it every year, the years seemed to go by slow. Now a birthday means a year older and I don't look forward to being older for some reason and the years seem to fly by! Why is that?

Well I had a wonderful birthday because of my sweet husband. He always makes everything a surprise and makes sure the day is special. He worked the night before so Carson and I got up together in the morning and made blueberry muffins and I was surprised with roses on the table, then little C and I hung out for awhile until Keith got up. We dropped Carson off at Keith's aunt's house here in SLC then he took me to see TAKEN 2 which we loved by the way. Afterwards we picked Carson up and met my friend Kathryn at IKEA so Keith could buy my birthday present--a new media/entertainment center. Kathryn is driving it up to Boise for me in her van...such a good friend. I was so stoked about this present because I've been looking for a new entertainment center for over a year now and haven't been able to find one I love for the price. We came to IKEA the other week and I fell in love with one there but they don't have an IKEA in Boise so it's perfect timing that Kathryn is going there this week.

After IKEA we went out to dinner at Cafe Rio and then skipped over to Leatherby's Ice Cream shop (the cutest place ever) to have ice cream with all of Keith's extended family here in SLC. It was a perfect day and I'm glad I was able to spend it with people I love.

my flowers match my shirt!

Waiting for the movie to start. I know I know I look scary pale in comparison to Keith but it was the flash I swear!

We were the only ones in the theater so we were goofing off

Excited for TAKEN 2!

enjoying the pork barbacoa burrito....my favorite

excited to try the pork barbacoa salad

Everyone at Leatherby's...Janae was the only one who noticed the camera

smile!

he only wanted to play with the camera

Maegan's ice cream looked delish!

soo did mine and Keith's...the cookie concoction

Carson sure loved it too

And last but not least.....my beautiful birthday present. Well it's similar to this one, it doesn't have the glass doors it's just open like a bookshelf and it doesn't have the connecting bridge at the top to it but it's the exact color and style (couldn't find a pick exactly of mine.)
