My amazing FAMILY (all 17 of us)
2. Friends- Although we have been quite busy getting settled in and I haven't had much time to hang out with my old high school friends yet I'm so excited to be so close to them again! A lot of them have babies Carson's age too so thats a plus! Emily, Mary, Danni, Nichole, Brittany I can't wait to hang out! Kathryn you need to move back to Boise then it would be complete.
Em and Kathryn some of my Best girlfriends.
3. The Greenbelt- I LOVE LOVE LOVE the greenbelt! I could ride or walk the greenbelt everyday and never get sick of it! It is so pretty! I love that Boise is such a bike friendly city. The greenbelt is definitely one of my favorite things about Boise.

4. Downtown- I love just going downtown and walking around on a nice day. I love that Boise is big but isn't too big. And sadly I know it's only going to grow but I love the size it is right now. It always gets rated in magazines for one of the best cities to live, raise a family, business friendly, etc. and secretly I get mad about that cuz I don't want people to move here and make it a big city....it's perfect the way it is. I love just walking around downtown shopping and trying out new restaurants.

6. The Weather- Need I say more? It's a lot warmer and less bi-polar than Rexburg. Seriously Rexburg would go through all four seasons in one day. Not here nice warm and sunny, but I love that they still get all four seasons but not to the extreme in one season.

8. Location- I love that my apartment is literally minutes from shopping, the movies, church, restaurants, downtown, the freeway, the airport, the temple, family, friends. Seriously I am so close to everything I LOVE it! I couldn't have asked for a better location. In Rexburg we had to drive like 30 minutes just to get to Winco or a good restaurant and the airport was almost four hours away!
9. Boise State Football- I'm so excited to actually be in Boise now for the games instead of in tiny little Rexburg watching the game on my flatscreen with my doritios. Seriously so much better to actually live it than dream it.

10. Home- I feel like I'm home now. When I was in Rexburg we were always taking trips to Boise and I hated hated hated going back to Rexburg when Boise felt like home. I dreaded those drives and now I never have to take that drive again! I LOVE it. I'm excited about raising my family here. I think it is the perfect place to raise our family. I loved growing up here and am so excited about having my kids get to experience the same things I did growing up. I get to show them all the places I went to when I was little and they get to be a part of them. Born and raised.....Boise is and always will be home.

Welcome Home.

Your post made me miss Boise! Maybe I'll try and do a "10 reasons why I love Portland" blog post just to help me keep a positive attitude!
ReplyDeleteIt made me miss boise too and I never lived there.
ReplyDeleteWell, you sold me on Boise :) I have never wanted to live in Idaho because of Rexburg, but ok Boise does sound tons better than Rexburg so I'm sure it's not so bad :)
ReplyDeleteMichaela--Boise and Rexburg are completely different...it's almost like they are in two different states.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn--you guys just need to move back to Boise :)
