Catch up!

It's already been three months since I last wrote on here, between the twins, house work, and Carson/school life keeps me busy. I finally have some down time while the twins are napping, Carson is at school and Keith is on his way home from work, and I've actually remembered to blog!

Soo...February and March the twins were sick--- A LOT! I think I went to church once in those two months, either both of them were sick or one, then the other. I'm just so glad it's starting to warm up and hopefully sickness is gone for good! I remember a friend who has 20 year old twins tell me the worst is when they get sick, she was right, it's no joke! Nothing too exciting happened in February, we did drive to Rock Springs to buy a new car! Yay! I'll miss my little scion but sure glad to have more room!

I ordered cheesecakes for Valentine's, the chocolate one on the left was AMAZING! I ordered it again for Mother's Day next week

March Keith baptized a friend's mom, the twins grew and grew, and Carson had spring break. Funny story about spring break--we were on our way to Idaho to spend five days with family and go to the hot springs, we stayed in Riverton, WY overnight and Carson woke up with a fever, headache, sore throat, and aching tummy, we were afraid it was strep since his buddy he'd been playing with had strep so we drove all the way back to Casper to have him tested. It fortunately wasn't strep but he was sick, so we didn't go on our vacation, and then the next day Keith and Ayla got sick, ugh....I'm so glad February and March are over!! I did take Carson to the movies, jump craze and out to eat for his spring break since 3/5 of us were sick and not going anywhere! The twins also started physical therapy in March because of their tight muscles, they were so cramped in the womb that it cramped their muscles, the therapy has been helping a lot and we've noticed a difference already in both of them!

Carson set a trap for a leprechaun, he asked what they eat so I had to look it up and google said potatoes and nuts--hence the potato and nuts. Cute kid.

Seeing Boss Baby over spring break. The theater was sold out on opening day, my friend and her daughter barely snagged the last two seats right by us!

We actually got outside a little more in April since it warmed up! We also took at trip over Easter weekend to Idaho Falls to visit Misti, Kirk and Brandon, and caravan with Krista to Rexburg since she bought our little scion from us. We had a fun weekend hanging out and celebrating Easter!

Got a new camera back in February and finally pulled it out to snap these smiles!

A few more pics cuz I can't resist---the lady who did their newborns wanted to shoot the twins again and get some more model shots, so I brought them over for an hour to her house one day and she just sent me the pics, so cute!

Birthday Boy!

We celebrated Carson's sixth birthday at the end of January. Man, the years are really flying by, I can't believe my first baby is already six, what gets me is he'll be baptized in two years! AH! I really want time to slowww down, but we sure are enjoying watching him grow, learn and love these years when they're still small.

Carson requested that we go bowling for his birthday. So we invited a few of his best buddies and went bowling, Carson took second place. Afterwards we headed back to our place for a pizza party, present opening and cake/ice cream. He enjoyed all of his presents and was probably the most excited about all the pokemon cards he got from one of his friends.  Happy Birthday little bud!!

Also at the end of January Keith had to go to Evanston (5 hours away) for winter survival training for Verizon. He was gone Sunday-Wednesday. I was so nervous and scared for him to leave, I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to take care of all three by myself, especially since the twins aren't sleeping through the night regularly yet. So I said a prayer that I would be ok, that the babies would do well....and what do you know? Those two slept better for those three nights than they ever have! Cole slept 7-9 hour stretches and Ayla slept 6 hour stretches and after she ate she would go right back down! I was so sure I'd have to call a friend for help, but no, this momma did it all on her own! And now they are back to their regular five hour stretches.  I was so proud (lol), course I was still so happy when Keith walked through the door late Wednesday afternoon.

This was a snapchat at dinner while Keith was gone.

3 Months

These two turned 3 months on the 3rd. They couldn't look more different, it cracks me up. Cole is our mellow little guy and Ayla is our happy smiley little miss with crazy hair. Both of these two are pretty good babies, they are both taking about three naps during the day the longest being about 4 hours. I'm not really sure how Cole does at night since Keith takes him, but I know he's sleeping longer stretches--the other night he slept 8 hours! Ayla sleeps about 5 hours straight, wakes up to eat, then sleeps another three straight. I have them on a schedule during the day where when they get up from their nap they're down 2 hours later for another, it seems to be working great so far! At their 2 month checkup in December; Cole weighed 9 lbs and Ayla weighed 10 lbs. We'll see how much they've grown next month when they have their 4 month checkup. I love both of their little coos, smiles and snuggles. They bring so much joy into our home and we feel so blessed to call them ours. I love this stage, but I love every stage, they're growing and growing fast. Love these two!

2016

Where did 2016 go? We had a great year full of lots of fun, new additions, some traveling, new family members and cherished memories. Let's recap!

Jan.- Carson turned 5!

Feb- Keith had surgery on his toe.

March- We found out we were expecting twins on St. Patricks day which is so
fitting because they are my rainbow babies.

April- We took a trip to Idaho Falls to visit my sister and Keith's siblings. My sister Shae had her baby boy Camden.

May- Carson graduated from pre-school and Keith and I went to a Carrie Underwood concert with friends. Keith's sister Catherine had her baby girl Claire.

June- Keith's birthday and our gender reveal on the same day! We also traveled to Boise and Logan, UT.

July- My nieces and nephews visited and Keith and I flew to San Diego for Misti's wedding, I gained a brother-in-law--Marcus. My sister Nikki had her baby boy Brockton.

August- Carson started kindergarten.

September- I was HUGE! and on bed rest, so my mom came to help out for three weeks.

October- The twins were born on the 3rd!! My 29th birthday and lots of Halloween festivities and parties.

November- The twins' baby blessings and family came to visit.

December- We lost Julie and Brian. Had Christmas in Utah and New Years in Boise.

So excited to see what new memories 2017 has in store for us!

December and New Years

I love December because of the holiday spirit leading up to Christmas, Christmas eve and day, our anniversary, and new years eve! And all the snow that makes it feel extra Christmasy!

All of November and half of December were full of Carson's soccer games twice a week!

Christmas Pjs pic!

I ordered canvas pics of the twins for their room! So excited with how they turned out!

The twins turned 2 months on the 3rd

Carson got invited to a Christmas party which included Santa and swimming! We also had our ward party on the 9th.

I took this pic of our backyard one evening after a big snowfall.

I love this pic of these two! Many days were spent watching snow fall while watching Christmas movies by the fire--yes, bliss!

This was a very different Christmas for us. My uncle Brian passed away on December 8th and Julie (see 2 posts before) passed away on the 15th. So it was a very somewhat somber time, but we made the best of it. We headed to Utah on the 20th to spend the funeral and Christmas eve and day with Keith's family. We stayed with Keith's aunt and uncle.

The funeral was the day before Christmas eve. Christmas Eve we went out to Olive Garden for Denise's birthday. We also did some last minute shopping. Then we had a big Christmas Eve dinner, complete with the nativity story, opening gifts from his aunt and uncle, a pinata, Denise's birthday cheesecake and a Christmas movie.

Chillin on Christmas Eve

Christmas Day we opened presents then went to church. After church we had a big dinner over at Keith's grandma's with all his cousins, aunts etc...and opened presents from his Grandma.

The day after Christmas we headed to Boise for New Years! We stayed with my sister Nikki and her family for a week.

Tyson, Brynlee and Brecka meeting Cole and Ayla for the first time.
Monday evening when we got there we had a birthday dinner for my sister Shae at Idaho Pizza Company. Tuesday we went sledding at my mom's. I was pretty bummed out I didn't get to see a lot of everyone because so many were sick!
Wednesday was our anniversary, we went to Chili's for lunch (my request) then took the kids to Chuck E Cheese (well only Carson played the games haha) and met my brother Jared and his four kids there. Thursday my sister Nikki and I did some shopping. Friday we went over to my brother Jared's for dinner and cake and ice cream for his 31st birthday. Saturday Keith took Carson to the Boise Aquarium and met a couple of my nieces there with their dad, later we had a big New Years Eve party at Nikki's house with lots of good food, games, laughs, just dance, and chatting. The twins kept us up till midnight so we rang in the New Year by feeding the twins! yay! lol. (We missed some of my sisters who were sick or had sick kids.) Sunday was church then we headed Idaho Falls and stayed the night at Misti and Marcus', then Monday we headed back to Casper, let's just say it was so good to see family but I don't want to do that drive with twins for a looooonnnnng time! 22+ hours roundtrip! ugh.

Celebrating 9 years!!

So happy Misti and Marcus and Kirk and Holly came from Idaho Falls for the party!
