Our Nation's Capital

We decided to come out to New Jersey again and be here for Christmas and New Years since all of Keith's family will be here. We flew in on Monday, the 16th and on Friday and Saturday we took a 3 1/2 hour trip down to Washington DC. Can I just say if you haven't been there yet, GO! I loved everything about it- the Temple, the museums, all the monuments! The best thing is that all the museums are free!

Friday- Arlington National Cemetery, Lincoln Monument, Washington Monument, Veteran's Memorial, Washington DC Temple & Visitors Center, Dinner at La Madelines, back to the hotel.

Saturday- National Archive Museum, Museum of Natural History, Original Smithsonian Museum, The White House.

We didn't even tap all the museums and things that there are to do there, the Natural History Museum alone takes forever to go through and we saw maybe almost half of the exhibits there.

Here are some pics!

Arlington National Cemetery

JFK's grave with the eternal flame

My favorite- the Lincoln Monument

The Temple area was all light up with lights!

It's even bigger in person- it's the tallest LDS temple

My KangaROO!

Saturday was our annual Lewis Family Halloween Party. I love Halloween, I love parties and I especially love Halloween parties! My little man dressed up as a Kangaroo. I wish I had a good picture of him in his costume, I'll have to get one on Halloween. I love dressing up and getting into the excitement Halloween brings!   We ate soup, salad, rolls and dessert. We played doughnut on a string, bobbing for apples, Halloween Bingo, Skittle/straw game, had a cupcake walk, and the kids even got to trick-or-treat! Lots of sweets but lots of fun!

All of us that dressed up.

Colten sure loved his cupcake

Let's Eat!

This is always my favorite game

Carson and all the little ones even played!

Now time for more trick-or-treating and trunk-or-treats this week! oh boy!

I wish I had a Fall Wedding

Seriously though, I wish I had a Fall wedding instead of a freezing Winter wedding, although the snow was beautiful in my pictures with my dress, I would have traded the cold for a beautiful, crisp Fall day with gorgeous reds, oranges, yellows and browns. I couldn't really change when I got engaged (which was in the Fall), so a Winter wedding it was! My oldest brother got re-married over General Conference weekend in Utah so it was a huge celebration! His wife is from Mexico so the wedding was in Spanish, and her family and friends sure know how to dance! Keith was saying we need to have more Latin weddings because they're so fun! Friday was the wedding and reception, Saturday we watched General Conference, some went to the hot springs, and we also had a girls night out while the guys watched Priesthood. I'm glad so much of my family was there, good thing Boise isn't too much of a drive from Utah. Here are some wedding pics!

The Groom and his three sons

Loved this table! Daren (bro), Me, Keith, Rachel & Joey (Chelsea's friends), Chelsea (niece),  Shana (sister), Peter  (nephew)

Emma (the bride) and some of the kids

Dancing away.....

Keith wouldn't stop dancing, even after we left.

The Lewis Family, well those of us that were there.

The new happy family.

Sisters- just missing Nikki and Nina

I told everyone to be a domino, only a few listened.

Besties.

Carmel Apple on a Stick

Did anyone else sing that song back in elementary school? Candy apple on a stick, makes my tummy go two forty-six. haha flashback

Anyway....yesterday, 26 years old, yeah about that...now I'm closer to 30 than 20! Yikes! It was a good day, started out with breakfast in bed, Keith even got up early and took over my job of feeding the neighbors horses so I could sleep in. Lunch time was spent at Chic Fil A with one of my sisters and her daughter. We had a good chat. Later we went over to my other sister's house and had pizza, chatted, and made carmel apples. I bought way too much carmel, but that's alright, better to have more then less right? I have been craving carmel apples ever since September begun. Oh I love Fall time. I didn't need cake or ice cream this year, nope just carmel apples. We finished the night by watching Now You See Me, I really liked it, definitely didn't see that ending coming. Keith got me some ankle boots for my present, I've been needing some good boots for Fall and I'm so excited to finally have some!

Right before the movie Carson had a paper he kept drawing and would come up to me and say "Happy Day," (happy birthday) then he would go back and add more then come back and say "Happy Day" again. It was his present for me. He did this about 7-8 times, it was the cutest thing ever, it definitely made my birthday that much more special.

These are the only pics I have of my day, my camera broke last month :(. The reeses peanut butter cups didn't wanna stay on, it was delicious though!
