January-- Carson turned 7! We celebrated early with a day in Idaho Falls at the arcade and Red Robin with family.
February was spent a Carson's basketball games every week.
In March Misti, Carson and I took a trip to Boise for a birthday, baby blessing and high school play that my niece was in. My younger brother took us for rides around Boise in his limo.
In April we spent our Spring Break in Boise for Easter with my family. The kids got lots of candy at our family's Easter egg hunt. I also told Keith since we lived so close to Jackson Hole that we needed to go find the Moulton barn, one of the most photographed barns in the world, right in Wyoming! It was built by Mormon settlers in the 1800s, this barn and a few others are what's left of their settlement.
At the end of May school was out for the summer so we headed out on our big family vacation to South Dakota. We explored, Deadwood, Rapid City, Mt Rushmore, Wall Drug, The Badlands and Custer State Park. This was by far one of my favorite trips! There is seriously so much to do in that area of South Dakota, it's so hard to fit it all in one vacation. I definitely want to go back!
The month of June was mostly spent at the pool and having Carson's best friend over to play almost everyday, lol. Carson and I also went to Boise at the end of the month for a very "big" family picture and reunion for my side of the family. Keith and I didn't really want to camp with the twins yet, so he stayed home with them.
The fourth of July was spent in Star Valley with Keith's sisters visiting. Carson also started summer soccer. We also went to Bear Lake a few times including at the end of the month when Keith's parents and sisters came to visit.
So I think everyone knows now but in August we moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming!! This was kind of unexpected for us, we did not plan on moving this year at all, but some things happened that just led us here. This brings alot more opportunities for Keith's career and for our family. So far we love it here and also love being so close to Denver. It's funny how life goes sometimes, we've been in Wyoming four years now and I've tried to get back to Idaho, and it just hasn't worked out. I cant seem to leave Wyoming, the Lord just really wants us here. 😊 It's starting to feel like home in this state now, but I'll always have a love for Boise. Who knows what the future will hold, but for now it's WyHOMEing.
We spent the rest of August moving in, exploring Cheyenne and taking a day trip to the Aquarium in Denver. Carson also started 2nd grade at the end of August and is loving it. So excited for my favorite season of the year and hopefully we'll get our annual fall pics taken next month!
