Swimming in April!

When it comes close to 80 degrees in April, what do you do in Wyoming? Go swimming!!! Friday was going to be a gorgeous day, the last gorgeous day for a week or so, so Athena and I decided we needed to get the kids together before they move (still so sad about this) and she mentioned having a picnic at Edniss K. Wilkins state park. It was a gorgeous day and turned out to be the perfect idea because the kids loved it! I think we spent close to four hours there. I put sunscreen on but didn't think about my feet, think about your feet people!! Now they are super red and swollen but oh well, totally worth it. Afterwards we took the kids to get ice cream at Sonic. Sure gonna miss these good friends of ours!

And.....in other news my sister Shae had her baby boy Camden on Friday. Two days overdue but he's here! Can't wait to meet him in June when we go to Boise. Keith's sister is due in May and I have another sister due in July, so lots of cute lil' nephews and nieces to hold!

3 Month Update

So.....here it is almost the end of April and I haven't blogged since February. Well Jenelle things have kinda been busy/exciting/crazy etc...so lets begin with February....

February was actually a pretty warm month except the beginning where we got slammed with snow and then the insane wind made some incredibly huge snow drifts which cancelled church since the stake center was blocked due to the snow drifts....but it warmed up and all was forgotten. Carson had a Valentine's party at school, we celebrated Valentine's together, Carson went to the dentist and had a field trip to a pet clinic, and at the end of the month Keith had surgery on his toes to straighten them out since they were pretty crooked from his fall back in 2005. He still hasn't recovered fully from his surgery and his foot is still swollen, but at least the pins are out!

I really need to fix my camera because iphone pics just aren't the greatest....

Valentie's party at school

After he was done he asked if he could go to the dentist everyday!

Petting dogs at the animal clinic

Prepping for surgery! He was a trooper!

March was pretty warm too until the end of the month, we even got some park time in! Park time, 4-H Carnival, Zootopia, school field trip to the dinosaur museum, celebrations (more on that in my next post), Easter egg hunts, dying eggs, tons of snow, spring break and bowling were some highlights of March.

Carson learned about stalagmites and stalactites one day at school so he came home and built a cave and put the them inside his cave (the white things hanging up top in the pic)

Easter egg hunt downtown. I loved it because instead of candy they gave you tickets in each egg that you could redeem for prizes instead, so no sugar overload!

Playing downtown after the egg hunt

We got slammed with snow over spring break so we spent the afternoon outside making a snowman.

Dying eggs with shaving cream

He found his Easter basket!

Threw in one of us since all of them are of Carson. Out to dinner at Olive Garden to celebrate :)

Bowling over spring break

Onto April....we spent the first weekend watching conference of course, the following weekend was nice out so we went garage selling with Athena and her kids, rode bikes downtown, then took the kids out to McDonalds (every kids fav). Last weekend we drove to Idaho Falls/Rexburg for Catherine's (Keith's sister) baby shower and to meet Misti's man. Thursday the 14th we went to the museum in downtown Idaho Falls, we promised Carson we would take him since they have an exhibit on baby dinosaurs until May. Afterwards we ate at Chic Fil A (oh how I've missed you), went to Cabelas, visited Misti at her 2nd grade classroom, and then went back to prep for dinner at Marcus's (Misti's boyfriend) house. Keith made some amazing chicken parm and then we indulged in muddy buddies. Friday we took Keith's little sis to move into her apt at BYUI then took her shopping in I.F. at Winco. Saturday was Catherine's shower and I ate way too much, then Carson and I headed back down to I.F. to meet up with Misti and my brother Jared and his family who came into town from Boise for a concert. We walked around the greenbelt by the temple and then went out for pizza. Afterwards Misti and I watched the kids for a bit then Carson and I headed back to Rexburg. Sunday we just went to church then had to say our goodbyes and head home. It was a super fun weekend but I hate that almost 7 hour drive!
