On the 29th Carson turned five!! I still can't believe he's already five!!!! FIVE!! FIVE!!! It's so bittersweet. I can barely remember when he was a newborn let alone just a little baby, learning to sit up, crawl, walk, and talk. Now he is in preschool, starts kindergarten in the Fall and is growing up too fast!! Slowwww Downnnn time!!!
We decided to have a birthday party for him with just us three. Last year I did a big friends birthday party for him and decided I'm only doing that every other year, that way we can have just a family year too. This year was just as fun and we enjoyed spending the whole day with our little guy.
The three of us started out the morning with Eggington's of course, then Carson and I headed to the library for a bit then to the store to get stuff for his cake. In the afternoon we met Keith at the movie theater and watched Kung Fu Panda 3. Surprisingly Keith and I both liked it! Afterwards I picked up Carson's favorite pizza--plain cheese and pepperoni and breadsticks, we ate dinner then the boys relaxed while I made Carson's cake. We sang to our little guy, ate too much chocolate cake and ice cream and opened presents. Carson enjoyed playing with his new hot wheels set and loves the game Trouble now, he has asked me to play everyday since and about 10 times each day. Guess that's my fault for giving it to him, (haha) I'm glad he loves it that much.
